This Privacy Policy explains how Anish Rathi ("Mnemio", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, protects, retains and deletes your information when you use the Mnemio mobile application on Android and iOS (the "App") and the website mnemio.net.
By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Account information. To use the App you create an account. We collect your email address and, if you provide it, your name. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address (or an Apple private relay address if you choose to hide your email) and basic profile information from that provider. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider (Google Firebase) and are never visible to us.
Learning progress and preferences. We store your in-app activity — completed lessons, streaks, quiz, game and memory-test scores, levels, and the memory "palaces" you create — together with your settings such as app language, theme and reminder preference, so your progress is saved and can be restored across devices.
Subscription information. If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never receive or store your card or bank details. Through our provider RevenueCat, we receive your subscription status (for example active, expired or cancelled), purchase date and renewal date so we can unlock premium content.
App usage (analytics). We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the App is used, for example app opens, sign-ups, lessons started and completed, paywall views, purchases and language changes, along with your current course day, plan type (free or premium) and app language. Analytics uses an app-instance identifier and your user ID, and Google may derive your approximate country or city from your IP address. We use this information only to improve the App, never for advertising.
Technical and diagnostic data. Standard device information — device model, operating system version, app version and error information — is processed to keep the App working correctly.
Audio. The "Listen" feature reads lessons aloud using your device's built-in text-to-speech. This happens on your device; no audio is recorded or sent to us.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, files, or voice recordings, and the App does not show ads.
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the App and your account), consent (notifications and optional features, which you can withdraw at any time), legitimate interests (analytics to improve the App and keeping it secure), and legal obligation where required by law.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with service providers that operate the App on our behalf, under their own privacy and security terms:

Our service providers may store and process data in other countries, including the United States and the European Union. Where such transfers are subject to the GDPR, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
All data sent between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and stored with Google Firebase, which encrypts data at rest. Access to your data is restricted by security rules so that each signed-in user can read and write only their own records. Only the developer can access the administrative consoles, which are protected by two-factor authentication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You can delete your account and data at any time:
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Please cancel auto-renewal in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions) or in your Apple ID settings (Subscriptions).
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email anishrathidrive@gmail.com.
EU/EEA/UK users may also lodge a complaint with their local data-protection authority. U.S. state residents (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and Virginia) have rights to know, access, correct and delete personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Indian users have the rights given under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Mnemio is intended for users aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. In regions with a higher minimum age of digital consent (up to 16 in some countries), you must meet that age or have parental consent to use the App. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes may also be notified in the App.
